Queen’s University Belfast Open Day

Our committee members Ross Gallagher and Sarah Kelly were delighted to attend the Queen’s University Open Day this summer. We asked Sarah how they got on…

‘On the 6th of June we set up the All Ireland Scholarships stand in our usual corner of the Peter Froggatt Centre of Queen’s University Belfast. The miserable weather outside could not dampen the excitement, curiosity and sense of self-discovery that filled the air inside.

‘A live classical quartet set the perfect backdrop for spreading the word of the All Ireland Scholarship. It was fantastic to see an equal number of students from the Republic of Ireland as from the North, but raising awareness in our six northern counties is imperative as students must actively apply rather than being selected.

‘If you know of anyone from the North looking to apply to third level this year, be sure to let them know about our scholarship, applications close the summer prior to their September start date.’
